Pride Flag Raising at King County Administration Building
In celebration of Seattle Pride, King County has announced that a rainbow flag will be raised at the King County Administration Building for the first time on Friday, June 27 at 12:15 p.m.
The public is invited and encouraged to join King County Executive Dow Constantine and Seattle Pride representatives for this historic moment in our City’s history.
A short ceremony will commence with remarks from Constantine and Eric Bennett, President of Seattle Pride, followed by a musical performance by 2014 Seattle Pride Idol, Ruth Soto.
“Seeing the Pride flag raised at the King County Administration Building, City Hall, and now hundreds of other Seattle businesses is a testament to our victories for LGBT rights in Seattle,” says Adam McRoberts, Communications Director for Seattle Pride.
Seattle Pride wraps up its 40th anniversary this weekend with the Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. on 4th Avenue, downtown.
