In 2008, 371 five-story buildings will be demolished in Moscow
This year it is planned to demolish 371 five-storey houses in the capital. It is reported by the Internet portal of the Moscow construction complex.
“Last year, 382 five-storey buildings were demolished, in this we plan 371. Moreover, by the number of houses it is less, and by square meters - more than in 2007,” the Internet resource quoted the deputy head of Reconstruction of Moscow - Head of the Directorate of Operational Control and Coordination of the Implementation of Urban Development Programs, Viktor Aistov.
The official added that during the current year it is planned to resettle citizens from outdated five-storey houses with a total area of three million square meters.
The program of reconstruction of the five-storey fund is calculated until 2010. During this time, the city authorities are going to demolish about 6 million square meters of dilapidated and five-story residential buildings.
“This is a very large-scale task that can be solved only in a comprehensive manner,” said Victor Aistas.
He noted that the effectiveness of the implementation of such a project requires competent all departments and organizations within the structure of the building complex.
