Floating gym will move on the Seine due to the energy of its visitors
The Italian design company Carlo Ratti Associati, known for its innovative approach to urban improvement, proposed for Paris a project of a self-propelled gymnasium plying on the Seine due to the energy that its visitors generate during training.
In addition to Ratti, the manufacturer was a manufacturer of sports simulators Technogym, a non-profit architectural group Terreform ONE and the Urban Renaissance Institute URBEM.
The 20-meter vessel, which can accommodate up to 45 people, will be equipped with Technogym Artis simulators, a special type of sports equipment designed to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.
The floating gym is supposed to be equipped with augmented reality screens, which will be shown tohow much energy is produced by them during training, as well as inform about changes in environmental conditions, which will be monitored in real time by means of sensors installed on the vessel.
The authors of the project believe that the Paris Navigating Gym project will allow "to explore the potential of human energy."
“It’s very impressive to see that the energy generated during the training really drives the boat. This experience allows people to experience what lies behind the concept of пон electrical energy ’, which is often abstract to them.”

It is not yet known whether the idea will be implemented in practice, although it has been calculated that it could be realized in 18 months.
