Decoration of bottles with twine
Just from an ordinary glass bottle and the simplest string, any of you can make an original and very cute gift for a loved one or just an element of decor that will decorate the house. This will not require any special skills: half an hour of free time, the willingness to tinker a little and a positive attitude is the key to success.
We will decorate with our own hands the most ordinary bottle. As a basis, you can take the wine, glass from lemonade or mineral water, even a jar. Still, it is desirable that the neck was narrow - so beautiful and comfortable.
The finished accessory can be used as a vase: wild flowers (or even better dried flowers and blade of grass) or a single flower will look very colorful in it. You can also fill a decorative bottle with dry leaves, coffee beans, soda with essential oils or aromatic herbs - you get a very beautiful and effective flavoring.
What do we need?
- dry and clean glass bottle
- coil of twine
- glue (more convenient to use glue gun)
Bottle dressing, work flow
First of all, we fix the thread with which we will start weaving, with the help of glue on the neck of the bottle.
Tip: if you do not have the ability to glue the two ends of the thread, as they say, tightly, just tie them up with a sea knot
We measure the height of the bottle from the neck to the bottom, multiply this number by two. We cut off the thread of this length from the skein and fasten it on the neck with the help of a knotted loop.
Look carefully at the photo to make the knot right. Similarly, fasten the string on the entire diameter of the neck.
Next we will do a simple weaving in the style of macrame. We take two adjacent ends and at a distance of 1.5-2 cm from the first row of nodes we connect them together.
Similarly, we do the third, fourth and other rows - so we reach the bottom of the bottle.
When the bottle is over, all threads are fastened to the center and neatly fastened together. And to the bottom of our crafts looked beautiful, decorate them. To do this, we coat the threads with glue and start to wind a round canvas in the center. We do not bind anything, just wind the thread as if it were an anchor chain.
Carefully wind the thread on the neck of the bottle. For reliability, it is also better to lubricate it with superglue.
Tip: if you wish, you can string various beads on the loose parts of the string during the weaving - this will make the accessory even nicer.
